Yağmur Önder

Engineer, Researcher, Traveler

Who am I?

I am a third-year undergraduate majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Global Engineering Studies. My motivation in my studies is to understand the world both mechanically and socially. I have a social and cultural anthropology background from high school, where I studied language, identity, and conflict. My work in Engineering Education has involved understanding women’s experiences in engineering through intersectionality and studying engineering curriculum development across different cultural contexts. My most recent role involves working to understand how 3D modeling can be taught to diverse learners in the Localized Engineering Displacement project.
